Senior Inspiration

Call it the Senior Inspiration thread if you will. NoBS member, Tyson Zahner, started a thread with one of his complete senior sessions. The goal? "I know from time to time, I get stuck in a rut on posing ideas and lighting techniques, etc. So hopefully some of you will find this thread useful. I'd rather this not be a thread for CC but rather one for discussion where we can share ideas for posing H.S. seniors and lighting techniques, etc..," said Tyson.

Safeguarding Your Facebook Photo Albums

Many thanks go out to NoBS moderator imaginphoto (Alison Berk) who posted recently about the latest Facebook threat. Apparently, Walmart is working on a Facebook application to allow Facebook photo albums to be printed. For professional photographers, this is just another avenue for images to be illegally copied. Here's the link to the tutorial on how to prevent Walmart printing of your albums:

Post A Day

The best way to keep those photography muscles in shape and ready for action is to USE them. The Post A Day thread was started five years ago with just that in mind. A few NoBS members faithfully post an image a day. Don't be a fly on the wall; get involved and post some of your favorites here, too!

Get on Joseph's good side and start posting images!

Here's the thread...

The Adventures of Steve and Shelley in Canada

Alison of Imagin Photography in Saskatchewan hosted a workshop with none other than Steve and Shelley Harrington. Travis and Paula Gadsby of Silverlake Backgrounds also participated in this north of the border workshop. Here's what Shelley had to say:

"I'm now catching up on many things, including sleep! LOL Thanks Alison for being a great hostess! Your studio is amazing, we need video of it! I love your little fam, Bob and Sophie - but I knew I would! Canada was so beautiful and I see why they call SK the "land of living skies" - It was like flying through heaven when we left. Those big billowy clouds were something else!

This workshop was different in the fact that we didn't know many people as they aren't on the forum. I hope they make their way here and for those of you who are here and lurking, please share some images here! We saw some great ones as we were walking around the room. Wayne, Jessi, Dan, Carina, Carol - this means you!

Travis needs to come share his border control experience as soon as he gets back. They are making this a family vacation. I hope HOPE he doesn't come back with any new stories."

Monthly Success Interview: Marilyn Sholin

Here is my June 2010 interview with Marylin Sholin, again. Yes, I've interviewed Marylin before, but this time she has a powerful message and some valuable marketing advice. Some photographers you've gotta just interview over and over again because they are endless sources of inspiration and pure gold...enjoy!
