NoBS Member/Photo of the Month: Laetitia Murray
Congratulations to this month's member of the month and winner of the photo of the month vote: Laetitia Murray!
Here's her story:
I am originally from France and was bathed into photography at an early age since it was my dad's passion. I spent countless hours in the dark room processing film. My brother is a photographer as well in Normandy, France. I met my husband and moved to the US and the passion really came back after giving birth to my first son, Lucas.
It was the beginning of the digital era. I got a Canon G3, then a G6 then my first dslr, a Nikon D40, that's when it all started again! Now a mother of three, I am slowly trying to build my business and have grown tremendously since joining NoBS just about 1 year ago! I stuck with Nikon and now shoot with a D700.
I am looking forward to growing even more and am ever thankful to have found this place! I am honored to have been chosen this month.
About the Photo of the Month
I created this image because Mia, my daughter (3 years old) was about to start ballet a few days later. It was a big deal for mommy who danced for 22 years! And after 2 boys, we had to twirl a little. I also just had gotten this backdrop in the mail from a fellow NoBSer (Debbie Rodgers... Thanks again!) and I had to try it! I thought the contrast between the dark backdrop and the pink would come out beautifully and it did!
