NoBS Member of the Month: Ricky
As some of you may know, Ricky is a Venezuelan photographer who came to NoBS a mere 8 months ago with little more than 8 months of experience under his belt as a professional photographer. In that short amount of time, his work has grown by leaps and bounds. He has inspired many of us here with his artistry and with his quick rise and it is fair to say he accomplished this success with a lot of practice and help from the NoBS family.
Not long ago, Ricky completed his first wedding. He did a truly fantastic job. Click here for a look at the album pages from the wedding: first wedding.
This is what Ricky had to say about his experience, "WOW! thanks guys, for Michael some are craigs and some are hodgy's but i managed to create a workflow action i kind of runned it on all images, its a porcelain skin midified and not to soft, James and Rob thanks for those comments mean a lot to me.... Rob thanks for the tip, i ll take it in my notes.... When i got to church i notice they had installed 2 reflectors on ceiling that point to the altar and bride and groom place, so inside church i use camera manual on ISO400 Speed 50 F2.8, the back of the church turned a bit dark so some shots were made on ISO800, the lamp shot that i like was done on ISO 1600 so a bit grainy...but works perfect.... Seriously iwould never have done something like this if it wasnt for NOBS, all i know i ow it to you guys.... thanks for sharing so much...... Rob i manage to pass by others photographers studios to see what im up to and dont want to rude but like you said they are not doing this stuff, usually weddings here are just a couple of shots when bride is ready, groom with his family, church and reception groups, thats all, i love this sequences, the way they recreate the moment when you go through it, its like living the moment again, its amazing and i like to make people feel that... so i will be more confident for my next one and cant wait for the EXPOBRIDE show this year to make a first appearance.... Thanks... BTW the old man on the guys shot, first he wasnt supossed to be there but he was up too cuase he liked the idea and he is the grooms grabdfather, dad died when he was young.... Thanks guys...."
All we can say, Ricky, is that we are happy for you and can't wait to see how high and far your star grows. Keep up the great work!
